3. On Saturday, February 22nd, the Coldest Night of the Year walk will take place all over Canada. Thousands of people will walk to raise money to provide food and shelter for homeless people. The money raised in Belleville will go to Grace Inn Shelter. Joanna Hoekstra has formed a team for our church and is hoping that others will join the team or donate money to the team to support Grace Inn Shelter. The walk is 5 Km or 2 Km (whichever the walker chooses).
The walk begins and ends at Grace Inn Shelter which is located at 315 Church St.9.
It begins at 5:00. St. Thomas’ Church will be a rest/washroom stop. Snacks will be provided to the walkers. The walk route stays within that area.
Last year over 300 walkers participated in CNOY. Team St. Thomas’ had 15 walkers. For more information, to donate, or to join the team, please go to the website cnoy.org or call Joanna Hoekstra at 613 962 4837.
