Evensong has been cancelled for Sunday, December 22, 2024.
1. SUNDAY LUNCH– Thank you to the volunteers who helped out at last Sunday’s lunch. A big thank you to all who supported the fundraiser and enjoyed the meal and fellowship.
2. CHRISTMAS SHARING VOLUNTEER
OPPORTUNITIES –
Packing of the boxes is on Wed. December 18th at 9:00am and delivering parcels on Thursday, December 19th between 10:00 am and 11:30 am.
***Signup sheets for Christmas Sharing are on the bulletin board by kitchen.
For the past couple of years, the congregation has been asked to make monetary donations to this outreach program through their church offerings. This method has been successful and will be used again. By purchasing sales and bulk items we have been able to get
better value for our money. Gifts for the children will also continue in this same method. We ask that you consider making a donation in the near future. The cost of supplying food for this program has risen and we hope you will be able to give to the best of your ability. 3. Church Calendars – are now available at the church office at a cost of $5.50. The calendars make great Christmas gifts!!!

4. Library Book Giveaway
Members of the Library Committee are reorganizing the St. Thomas’ Library collection. This has included discarding a significant number of books. Books that are out-of-date, in poor condition or duplicate were removed. Over the next weeks, these books will be available for giveaway at a table in the church hall on Sundays. Please take any that appeal to you.
5. Locked church doors- Some people have wondered why the Parish Hall doors are locked at service time. Due to security issues, the doors are locked 10 minutes after the service begins. The front doors of the church are left unlocked for people to use in case they are delayed in arriving.
