Mission Statement

We are, by the grace of God, a caring community, celebrating the Lordship of Jesus Christ, sent to share, through the power of the Holy Spirit, His love with others.

As a community in Christ, we are committed to the belief that all people are created equal before God.

In affirmation of the inclusive love of Christ Jesus, we welcome persons of any race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, or economic circumstance to full participation in our community life and ministry.

We strive to reflect these beliefs in the language and content of our worship, in our activities, and in our lives together.

At St. Thomas' we strive to incorporate Growth, Community and Faith as a goal in all of our worship and outreach activities

A keynote of our Sunday worship services tends to be the very human, insightful and thought provoking sermon delivered by Fr. Brad. Many visitors comment on this aspect of the service. Spiritual support is added to our family service through a variety of instruments and a full SATB choir

Consistent with our Mission:  "All are welcome to join us in the Eucharist - we do not turn away or exclude anyone – just as Jesus didn’t and doesn’t."

Outreach programs vary with need and sustainability. in Belleville, there are serious issues around Food Security and Shelter for the homeless. St. Thomas', through it's parishioners, provides frozen meals for distribution weekly, teaches cooking skills, hosts community gardens, delivers Meals on Wheels and collects clothing and furnishings for refugees and others in need. The parish is associated with Grace inn and collects for Gleaners food bank. We serve those that serve through our support of Belleville Police Chaplaincy

Family outreach is always a priority. From nursery to Pastoral care we have staff and volunteers that provide leadership and support. Community PA Day programs, family pizza nights and entertainment, prepared meals for those in need, home and hospital visitations and Christmas hampers. These are just some examples of ways to serve others.

St. Thomas' is also a strong supporter of the Primates World Relief and Development Fund  which responds to disasters around the globe.
